Ending Particles: ใ (yo) and ใญ (ne)
Adding a small particle to the end of a sentence completely changes its feeling. Yo and Ne are the secret to sounding like a natural Japanese speaker.
What do Yo and Ne do?
In English, we change the tone of our voice or use tags like '..., right?' or 'I'm telling you...'. In Japanese, we use sentence-ending particles.
The particle ใ (yo) is used to tell someone new information. It's like saying 'I know this, but you don't.'
The particle ใญ (ne) is used to seek agreement or confirm something. It's like saying '..., right?' or 'Isn't it?'

Teacher's Advice
Be careful with ใ (yo). If you use it too much, you can sound arrogant or bossy, like a know-it-all who is constantly lecturing people. In contrast, ใญ (ne) is very safe and makes conversations feel harmonious and friendly.
